We used large reclaimed wood beams, Catskill bluestone, native plants, and all permeable materials to transform this yard into a useable and functioning system. Poor drainage and leaking were alleviated by using a dry well and increasing subsurface void space. A simple large raised bed planted with mostly grasses sits as the focal point in the middle of the space.
